Hi! I’m Julie, a local Licensed Certified Social Worker. I received my Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work from the University of Arkansas in 2011 and 2012, respectively. My post graduate work experience includes inpatient psychiatric social work and medical social work at CHI Hot Springs, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, and Arkansas Children’s Northwest. I was adjunct faculty at the University of Arkansas from December 2018 until December 2020.
After spending several years in Little Rock, my family and I recently relocated to Fayetteville in the Fall of 2018. I have worked with clients of all ages- children to 100+ in a variety of settings on a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, perinatal mood disorders, adjustment to chronic illness, and grief.
I fell in love with yoga during my undergradradute. I decided to get further training and started yoga teacher training the fall of 2015. I graduated from Prema School of Yoga at The Yoga Place (Hot Springs, AR) in May 2016 with 200 hr training in Hatha Yoga.
I began private practice in the Spring of 2019 and immediately received training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing through EMDR Consulting in Tulsa, OK. In January 2022, I completed training in Exposure and Response Prevention through the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety (CTSA) at the University of Pennsylvania.
My focus is to provide a calm, comfortable, judgment-free environment to help clients improve their quality of life by developing insight, exploring behaviors, building resiliency, and promoting self care. I enjoy proactively working with my clients and am passionate about teaching how to discover which tools work for you for better health and wellbeing.
“If you fall, I’ll be there.”
